The exhibition at Mitchel Houses in Mott Haven features four South Bronx artists. Each of the artists celebrate the cultures of their community and offer moments for reflection and healing in the wake of Covid-19 and a year of increased gun violence. Participating artists were selected by local residents and community partners after responding to an open call. Their art workshops explored skills like color theory, drawing, and photography, and also engaged art as a tool to explore feelings and offer emotional relief. Art workshops took place in collaboration with the Mitchel Resident Association and the Mitchel Community Cornerstone.
