Nancy Saleme

Nancy Saleme is a Latinx visual artist and industrial textile designer. Her art is a visual testimony of her existence and reveals her personal experiences as a woman of color. Since 2010, she has been creating temporary and permanent artworks to transform and claim public space. A recipient of multiple commissions and residencies, including those awarded by El Museo del Barrio, John Michael Kohler Art Center, and the NYC Department of Transportation, she holds degrees from the University of Fine Arts in Poland, the National School of Fine Arts of Peru, Cristóbal Rojas School of Visual Arts of Caracas, and The Arts Students League of New York.
