Vanesa Álvarez Díaz

Vanesa Álvarez DíazÁlvarez Díaz is a Spanish muralist and visual artist based in Brooklyn. Her large-scale murals incorporate symbols, patterns, and words, often with slogans or pithy poetry.  Her work has been selected for international competitions, such as Pinta Malasaña (Madrid Street Art Project) and adorns institutional settings like NYC Health+Hospitals and various NYC schools. Focusing on community empowerment and feminism, she has installed murals in Spain, Mexico, and New York City, and was a part of The Flag Project at Rockefeller Center. Álvarez Díaz has a degree in Art, Design and Advertising Graphics from Aula D, in Spain.
