Sophia Victor
Sophia Victor is a Brooklyn-based visual artist who dedicates her work to exposing the stories and experiences of individuals and communities striving to overcome injustices. By raising awareness, she aims to humanize social justice issues and prevent them from being repeated. Some of her subjects include: mothers who have lost their children to police brutality, the Central Park 5, and political prisoners from Black Liberation movements. A 2015 participant in the Whitney Independent Study Program, Victor holds a MA from New York University, and a BA from the School of the Visual Arts.
