About

“Queens Rising” by Danielle Mastrion is Queens’ tallest ever mural. Painted on two sections of the Baisley Pond Park Residences in Jamaica, Queens, it pays tribute to local heroes, landmarks, and the deep cultural history of the neighborhood. Featuring faces from the community, airplanes, flowers, and birds, the mural evokes a sense of familiarity, wonder, and hope.

The two mural panels span a combined 5,000 square feet and reach up to 13 stories. This project was made in partnership with Slate Property Group and RiseBoro Community Partnership. View on Instagram
