Priscila De Carvalho

New York-based artist Priscila De Carvalho is a multimedia artist working with public art, painting, sculpture, and site-specific installations. In her works, De Carvalho incorporates urban environments with socioeconomic and political content. Priscila De Carvalho has been awarded the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Fellowship Award (2008), the Artist in the Market Place Fellowship at the Bronx Museum (2010), the Sculpture Space Fellowship (2010), the Aljira Emerge 10 Fellowship (2008), the Queens Council on the Arts Fund (2009), and the Siddhartha Art Foundation (2013). De Carvalho’s permanent public art can be found at the New York City subway station, commissioned by the MTA Arts and Design program (2015), Richard Rogers Public School, commissioned by Public Art for Public Schools (2016), and The Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art Program 2021, NYC Department of Transportation (DOT), NYC.
