Artist Victor “Marka27” Quiñonez has created what’s being called Brooklyn’s largest mural, a stunning 150-foot artwork titled “Brownsville King of Love” at 326 Rockaway Avenue. Produced in partnership with ArtBridge, the piece transforms an underutilized building facade into a powerful celebration of Brownsville’s rich cultural legacy. The mural depicts a local youth wearing a golden crown and holding a custom jean jacket bearing the message “Spread Love,” adorned with patches honoring the neighborhood’s hip-hop heritage (M.O.P., Duck Down Records) and Caribbean roots. Boxing gloves inscribed with “Brownsville” pay tribute to the area’s legendary fighters, including Mike Tyson, Shannon Briggs, and Riddick Bowe. Created over weeks from a crane that appeared tiny against the massive scale, the artwork has become a community landmark that embodies ArtBridge’s mission of empowering artists to activate overlooked public spaces with meaningful, large-scale art.
