Federica di Carlo

Everything is Illuminated #2, 2014

“Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world.” –Arthur Schopenhauer

Federica Di Carlo (1984) was born in Rome, where she currently lives and works. She attends the Academy of Fine Art in Rome, Bologna and Barcelona and travels extensively to the major European capitals. In her poetic universe, the symbolic references relating to the sphere of everyday life or to the collective imaginary are suspended and redefined by light and through the stages of decomposition, dissolution and recomposition, in which the artist explores thresholds, memory and boundaries.
