Monique McField is a queer, first-generation Afro-Latinx American artist, educator, and creative producer who prioritizes socially engaged and community-based arts programming. Her personal experiences and background in mental health, social services, and education influence her holistic approach to arts administration and creative production.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Psychology and expects her Master’s degree in Arts Administration from Baruch in Spring 2022. Some of her experience includes mental health work in under-resourced communities of Nevada and Sri Lanka, serving as a fellow for ArtistYear AmeriCorps in Queens, and work at the DreamYard Project in the Bronx.
As Program Manager for ArtBridge, Monique partakes in all aspects of programming, including developing new programming and community engagement strategies. Personal experience and the events of 2020 inspired her to conceive of Not a Monolith, for which she is the Project Lead.
