Kim is an artist and entrepreneur with almost 20 years of professional experience in business and product development, non-profit arts management, community organization and activation, real estate, strategic planning, writing, fundraising, event planning and governmental affairs. Currently, she is Co-Founder and CEO of NY/TX-based design studio PERMIAN, and President of the Board of Directors at Artbridge in NYC.
Kim’s institutional education includes degrees in Fashion Design from Parsons, The New School in NYC, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Business from the University of Texas at Austin. She has extensive working knowledge of the film, contemporary art and philanthropic worlds, and enjoys building organizations from the ground up with an eye looking beyond established structural ‘norms’. She prioritizes collaboration, and centers artists and systemically underrepresented communities left out of conversations by design. Kim has produced events, exhibitions, activations, and creative content on the international stage for SculptureCenter, Performa, chashama, and the Texas House of Representatives, and advocates for many organizations and initiatives close to her heart. She is on the Female Design Council in NYC. Kim lives in Brooklyn, New York, and visits family and the big skies of West Texas often.
