Erin Barnes

Erin Barnes was an environmental editor at Men’s Journal magazine, freelance environmental writer, and contributor to Al Gore’s book Our Choice. She conducted field research on socio-economic values of water in Nicaragua and fisheries in the Amazon, and worked as a community organizer and public information officer at the Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition. She has undergraduate degrees in English and American Studies from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University. Erin has lived in Brooklyn, since 2008, and serves on the Board of the Manhattan Land Trust and as an advisor to the Social Innovators Collective, Shared Squared and Charity Sub.
