“Avoiding nostalgia, these buildings are offered as countless memorials of the history and politics of our time.” –Edi Muka

Dritan was born in Korce (Albania) and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. He has taken part in numerous artist residencies around Europe and the United States. Dritan uses architectural shapes to explore society and the relationship between man and nature. “Objekt” is part of a series in which the artist uses photography to look at buildings that, like minimalist sculptures, were built after the fall of the regime in the rural areas in his country of origin, Albania.
